About Us
Dr. Stanton Kim has received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, College of Optometry in 1987 after finishing his Bachelor of Sciences in Vision Sciences from Pacific University and Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from University of California at Santa Barbara.
Dr. Kim has been in private practices in Southern California in Orange County, Beverly Hills and Brentwood until he moved to Northern California to open his practices. His professional passion has been focused in Preventive Eye Care, especially in clinical research and development in the field of Orthokeratology.
For his work, he has received distinctive merits as a Fellow from National Eye Research Foundation, International Orthokeratology Society where he served as a Vice President during 1999 to 2001. Recently, the internationally recognized Orthokeratology Academy of America has awarded Dr. Kim with a Fellow distinction in the field of Orthokeratology.
Using his own innovative Overnight Myopia Correction contact lens design, Dr. Kim has successfully treated thousands of patients over the years in his Ortho-K specialty clinics. In 2006, Dr. Kim's lens design/marketing company MiracLens, LLC has received FDA approval partnering with Bausch and Lomb, Inc. and both companies have initiated to market MiracLens nationally and globally.
Dr. Kim has developed many innovative concepts and designs in the past and he holds three patents filed at USPTO in eye care industry and he is in the final process of acquiring a contact lens manufacturing laboratory with his newly formed company, MiracLens, LLC.
Dr. Kim now practices optometry and orthokeratology in Irvine and lives in Mission Viejo, California.
